SaniteX was able to provide the Geelong Football Club including its staff, players, members and community with high quality face masks at short notice. With WHO certification, we had ease of mind that the people that matter so much to the club were being kept safe. Despite the logistical issues with postage during the 2020 winter, the masks arrived quickly whilst also proudly showing the club’s branding. SaniteX’s support during this time was critical for the club.

People come to The Salvation Army us from all walks of life, seeking relief from homelessness, financial hardship, addiction, or refuge from Family Violence. During the Coronavirus outbreak, we are seeing people come to us, who may never have needed to approach a charity or welfare organisation before in their lives. The donation of masks from SaniteX helps keep people safe; at least we can take that worry of their minds when they have so many other challenges to overcome.

During the height of COVID-19, SaniteX reached out to Melbourne City Mission (MCM) and many of other not-for-profits across Melbourne to offer donations of their products. Their donation of individual alcohol wipes was gratefully received by our Frontyard Youth Services (assisting young people experiencing homelessness) and our disability services teams.

To keep the people, we assist and our frontline workers safe during this time, MCM spent a lot of money on personal protective equipment (I should know as the ordering of PPE for the organisation fell to me during this time). Donations such as this helped us alleviate these costs.

Viral Kindness Sydney Food Care is a volunteer food program established to help members of the Sydney community struggling during the Covid-19 pandemic, working with 25 charities and two city councils to distribute market-fresh fruit and vegetables to support those in need.

SaniteX’s deep and unprompted generosity in donating 10,000 masks to the Sydney community in September 2020 provided vital public health support at a critical time. With local management of the pandemic at a critical juncture, and public housing estates in Melbourne subject to urgent lockdown, our most at-risk community members had every reason to feel fearful.

SaniteX’s generosity represents community care and kindness at its best and we are thrilled to thank and commend them for this.

Today, with your help, a seriously ill child had their wish granted. They’ve been given an incredible gift: hope for the future, strength to face the challenges of their illness, and joy from their incredible wish experience. Thank you.

Your support will continue to make incredible wishes come true for children with life-threatening medical conditions.

Every day, we receive new applications from seriously ill children who need the hope, strength and joy a wish brings. We rely heavily on support from the community to ensure we’re able to make each of these wishes come true.

We thank you again for your generous support and hope you will continue to share in the healing power of a wish.

North West Youth Accommodation Service works with young people and young families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. These masks enabled our clients to continue to travel on public transport, run their errands and live their day to day lives minimising their risk of infection and ensuring the safety of our community.

A big thank you to Sanitex for the donation of hundreds of Sanitiser bottles for our services supporting families with a vulnerable newborn. As our play and support groups within the community start up again, the safety and wellbeing of our families is priority, particularly as babies born requiring specialised care (premature or critically ill) are at increased risk of developing infection and sickness. This donation is greatly appreciated and will be distributed for use within our NurtureGroups right across Australia, to ensure that we can continue to provide vital, face-to-face support to families in a safe way.

In September we were very pleased to receive a donation of 2000 masks for our Doorways Programs in South West Victoria. This amazing donation enabled us to provide masks to many of our services. Following are some of the responses that we have had:

The Outreach Van workers have said that it was fantastic to be able to supply homeless people with a mask so they can move about freely in the community

• The Thrift Shop staff told us that when people come into the shop without a mask, they were able to give them one, which made the shoppers day

• Our welfare workers indicated they were really appreciative of the masks because clients were reusing the disposable one which wasn’t hygienic

• Staff have conveyed that it was great to have a couple of spares, so when they had a few in the wash they still had a good quality one to wear

As you can see your donation has made a difference in the lives of so many in this Area. You have partnered with us in our work to help those experiencing hardship and injustice. We acknowledge your donation of 2000 masks valued at $27,500.

Geelong Mums is a local not-for-profit who provide pre-loved and new nursery goods to support families in need.

At the beginning of the COVID pandemic Sanitex contacted Geelong Mums to offer hand sanitiser for our staff, volunteers and clients – in whatever quantity we needed. This unexpected donation went a long way in allowing us to keep our doors open to support babies and children in need by ensuring that our staff and volunteers were safe. Not only did it alleviate the cost of purchasing hundreds of litres of hand sanitiser, it arrived at a time when the product was extremely difficult to purchase and was hand delivered by Will on a Sunday morning. We are so grateful for the Sanitex team for the support.

Julia Roache, General Manager

We were overjoyed when Sanitex reached out to us in April 2020 with the offer of a significant amount of hand sanitiser. This was during the first Australia wide lock down when sanitiser was sold out around the country and we were thrilled that we could send it out in toiletry packs to the families we assist. It was a very thoughtful and generous donation at a really difficult time for many people in Victoria, especially for families doing it very tough. Thank you Sanitex for your donation, we are very grateful to you for your support.

Angela Prato, Donation Coordinator

Despite facing unprecedented issues as a result of COVID-19, organisations like SaniteX and their generosity enabled charities like
Anonymous X to continue providing much-needed assistance for people within Melbourne’s homeless and less fortunate communities.

Since our inception in 2014 we have been self-funded and rely heavily on our supporters and the general public to ensure that our team continues to make a difference.

Remarkably, SaniteX donated 700 x 100ml Hand sanitiser, 500 x reusable masks, 200 x antibacterial hand wipes and have also committed to providing ongoing support, absolutely amazing.

This will not only keep our team members safe but also the most vulnerable people within our communities.

This act of kindness has significantly improved and potentially saved countless lives throughout Melbourne, not to mention all the other incredible donations SaniteX has made all across Australia.

Words cannot express how grateful we are for the generosity of SaniteX. The entire Anonymous X team look forward to ongoing efforts in the future, ensuring the safety of everyone during these difficult times.
